Crawl Space Encapsulation in Glen Arbor, MI

Ben wanted his crawl space encapsulated so he called our team and we installed CleanSpace. CleanSpace is a plastic sheet material used as a vapor barrier to restrict all moisture, outside air, and pests from entering your crawl space. Not only does this system create an energy-efficient crawl space, but it also gives your crawl space a clean finish. This material will be applied to your floors and walls to create a sleek look and an uninterrupted barrier.

Crawl Space in Central Lake New Home is Waterproofed with CleanSpace

The liner in this before picture was installed when the house was built. It was only 5mil thick, making it prone to tears and being pulled off the walls. When the owners checked the crawl space and found 6 inches of water on top of the liner, they new they had to upgrade it.

As you can see in the second picture, they chose a bright white liner which makes the space look much brighter. This white liner, CleanSpace, not only improves the way the space looks, but it waterproofs it as well.

Made from multiple layers of a polyester cord reniforcement, this liner is 20mil thick, making it resistant to puntures and rips, and will last as long as the house will. Installing CleanSpace provies a vapor barrier for this space, allowing for water beneath it to drain to the sump pump.

Now this crawl space is just as good looking and dry as the rest of the home!

Keeping Water and Pests Out of a Central Lake Crawl Space

Barb had a dirt crawl space that was allowing pests into it. She wanted it closed off to keep things out of it as well as keeping it dry. We used Drainage Matting, the CleanSpace Liner, and the SaniDry Sedona to encapsulate the crawl space and keep it dry!

Mold and Mice Eliminated from East Jordan, MI Crawl Space

Sharon and Kevin approached us at a home show with a story that's all too familiar - their floors were cold. This is, of course, because their crawl space was not properly insulated and the cold air from the dirt floor was affecting the house above it.

Upon inspecting the crawl space, we also discovered mold (another common side effect of dirt floor crawl spaces, especially when delicious-to-mold fiberglass insulation is present) and...mice. Gross.

Sharon and Kevin wanted to prevent moisture in the crawl space, control mold odors, get rid of the mice, and save energy. Luckily, we can help with all of that!

We installed our ultimate energy savings package, including the CleanSpace vapor barrier with drainage matting and a SaniDry CX dehumidifier. Now the basement will be dry and mold/critter free, and the house above will be more comfortable and energy efficient.

East Jordan, MI Crawl Space Installation

Frank has crawl space in his home that was exposed to the elements by an uncovered vent. The vent allowed moisture and other debris in his crawlspace, which led to mold and other problems.  There was also a tarp on the floor of the space being used a vapor barrier, retailers often falsely advertise basic tarps as vapor barriers when in reality they do nothing.

Our team fixed Frank's problems with multiple CleanSpace solutions. First we used a dehumdifier to get rid of all the moisture. Then we installed CleanSpace vent covers to prevent anything else from coming into the crawl space, CleanSpace drainage matting to help flow any moisture to the Smart Drain that was also installed.
