This troubled crawl space was in desperate need of encapsulation. The homeowner Denise from Gaylord, MI, called us to see what her options were. We sent one of our System Design Specialist's to her home. Our expert created multiple individualized solution options that fit our new friend’s needs and budget. In the end, Denise chose our unique CleanSpace encapsulation product to seal off her crawl space from the elements it faced below. Additionally, our new friend elected to tackle the relative humidity in her crawl space with the SaniDry XP. The SaniDry will promote dry breathable air throughout her entire home. Denise gave her crawl space a much-needed makeover, when the spring thaw hits she will no longer have to sweat.
Our customer Keith G. from Gaylord, MI was worried about the musty smell beginning to rise from the crawl space below. Unaware of the conditions below his home, Keith began searching for local crawl space professionals. After seeing several of our commercials on TV, he gave us a call. We scheduled our new friend for a free estimate and soon arrived at his home.
At our visit, the System Design Specialist told Keith no moisture, mold, or wood rot was currently present in his crawl space. With a proactive mind set, Keith asked if there was any way he could protect his crawl space from future issues. Our expert then calculated a preventative solution consisting of our highly efficient CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation system, SilverGlo wall panels to make this crawl space more energy efficient and spray foam insulation to supplement the SilverGlo wall panels. To Keith’s surprise, since the transformation he has seen a significant drop in his heating bills. The musty smell he grew to hate, has also vanished. If you have a crawl space under your home, don’t wait until problems arise. As Keith did, call us today for a free estimate.
Dan and Theresa want to sell their home next year. They have standing water in their crawl space and want that fixed before the home goes up on the market. They want the area to be dry and encapsulated so the new owners can have a clean space. We used Drainage Matting to direct the flow of water to the sump pump so that it expelled outside of the home. We also installed the TripeSafe Sump Pump to keep the water out even in a case of a power outage. The CleanSpace liner stops humidity and water vapor from passing into the crawl space. Lastly, the SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier helps to keep the space dry and filters the air!
Karen has dealt with cold feet for as long as she can remember but recently realized she also had cold floors. She researched online and called Ayers to learn more about our crawl space encapsulation options. Our team of experts dropped by her house to examine the issue and recommended installing the CleanSpace vapor barrier. CleanSpace is designed to reduce harmful ventilation and deter moisture entry in the crawl space. Ventilation carries organic material underneath the home through the crawl space, but CleanSpace entirely encapsulates the area with an antimicrobial-lined material. Karen can't believe the difference!
As part of an ongoing repair project for the crawl space in the before photo, the owner had called and asked us for an encapsulation. The water that was inside isn’t visible in the photo, but the damage it had done is. Once the crew had removed the hanging insulation and the rest of the debris in the crawl space, they installed the CleanSpace plastic liner in the after photo.
CleanSpace is a vapor barrier that is impenetrable by moisture and unlike the previous encapsulation, it can protect both the floor and walls of crawl spaces. As you can see when comparing the two photos, the CleanSapce barrier was pulled tight and sealed to the walls to eliminate any possible entry points for vapor. The tough plastic will last for years to come and so will its protection.
