Debi was tired of her crawl space being damp and drafty in the winter and hot and humid in the summer, causing a musty smell throughout her home. She called Ayers to provide crawl space insulation. Our system design specialist determined that encapsulation and waterproofing would benefit the 90-year-old home's crawl space.

The appointment was set, and our contractors arrived promptly at the agreed time. The foreman began the improvement by laying drainage matting that will help direct any water out of the crawl space. They also added a rim joist, and finally, they laid a puncture-resistant, padded product to seal the crawl space, keeping the heat high and the energy bills low.

Janet knew she had water problems in her basement but wasn't sure how to fix it. After the last storm, water leaked onto the floor and pooled in the middle. She couldn't tolerate standing water, so she called Ayers for help. A team of experts stopped by her home and recommended installing the TripleSafe sump pump. Jeff, a property owner who lived out of state, received a concerning phone call from one of his tenants. It appeared that Jeff's rental property was experiencing some serious foundation issues. The concrete steps leading to both main entrances were settling and had pulled away from the main structure of the home. In addition, the basement had stair-step cracks in the cement walls which indicated the home's foundation was worsening over time.

Since he was out of state, Jeff relied on our team to provide him with a permanent solution to secure his home's foundation. Once arriving on site, it was clear the basement needed additional support, so we installed our CarbonArmor® and GeoLock® Wall Anchor System to stabilize the walls. The CarbonArmor® is ten times stronger in tension than steel and was installed like a strap against the cracking walls. To ensure the wall remained upright, we also installed our GeoLock® Wall Anchor System made of galvanized steel to extend from inside the basement all the way through underground to the stable, hard-packed soil outside the home.

Lastly, we wanted to ensure the tenants had a level stairway to enter their home. We installed helical piers on both sides of the porch entrances to lift and stabilize the stairs. Jeff's tenants were pleased he invested in these foundation repairs and they have peace of mind living in the building again. 

Mrs. Toth was not happy to see the signs of water damage in her home crawl space. She only knew when she noticed sloping floors and a gap between her walls and the ground on the first floor. Ayers's resident Foreman Bruce was able to help explain what these signs meant and what the best line of action would save her home and wallet the most grief.

Bruce prescribed a WaterGuard draining system as well as installing a CleanSpace lining. The WaterGuard system is installed in the basement floor as a way to divert access water that the sump pumps can not manage away from the home. this system is designed to work with the home's sump pump as a final failsafe against an unmanageable overflow of water. the CleanSpace lining is an antimicrobial barrier that deprives bacteria from an organic food source, preventing the buildup of mold and mildew.

Happy with her experience at Ayers, Mrs. Toth was relieved to learn all of our treatment methods are intended to be permanent.

Customer had a moisture barrier in the crawl space installed by another company that had failed to keep water out. The homeowner complained of several leaks in the space. We installed a perimeter drainage system to capture moisture from the walls and floor and transport it to the newly installed sump pump. We also installed SilverGlo panels on the walls to provide extra insulation once the owner decided to finish the basement with a waterproof wall covering. These foam wall panels are made of small graphite particles that reflect heat. They also serve as a radiant barrier to reflect heat back into your crawl space. 

We also added a SaniDry Sedona humidifier to the crawl space to keep it dry. This customer will no doubt feel the difference when they walk into their basement with a dedicated dehumidifier keeping moisture out of the air. No more dank, damp air as you do your laundry down there. There are also significant energy saving costs over time.

Adam C. contacted us because he had a large crack in his basement floor that went across through multiple rooms. There was also another crack that had appeared under one of the windows. 

Our team and Adam decided that the best way to fix this issue was to install helical piers. These piers are mechanically screwed into the soil and the weight of the home is transferred to the piers. This helps lift the home back to its original position and to close the cracks.

Tawnya C. was experiencing a crawl space nightmare in her home. Her crawl space walls were made of cement blocks and dirt floor. It had recently flooded and she was sure mold began to grow and the wood was rotting. She desperately wanted to get her crawl space sealed up.

Another point of entrance for water and moisture in crawl spaces is through the vents. Allowing that outside air in can cause condensation around pipes. Our vent covers are plastic and fit snugly in order to stop air and moisture from entering. This allows the SaniDry Sedona to effectively do its job and dry out your crawl space.

The TripleSafe is a sump pump that provides three levels of protection against water leakage. Whether it be normal water supply, heavy volumes of water, or in the case of a power outage, this sump pump will keep your basement dry. For normal water supply, the Zoeller ⅓ horsepower pump functions. At a heavier level, the Zoeller ½ horsepower pump activates. In the case of a power outage, the UltraSump backup sump pump will pump water on a backup battery.
