Bob was experiencing a major foundation issue with the corner of his front porch. The corner of the porch was slowly sinking for quite sometime, but recently had accelerated sinking. Our professional foundation team stepped in and installed a few piers around the porch in order to help support and lift the corner back into position. The Helical Piers are the piers that we used in this project. To install the piers, we excavated a small hole around the outside of the porch to expose the home's footer. We then drill long steel piering shafts into the ground until they reach competent soil that can reliably support the weight of the home. This allows for the corner to be put back in its original position. The fix is permanent and incredibly reliable!
David owns a commercial building, and the basement has a water intrusion issue. The water has come into the basement about four times in the past couple of years and covers about a quarter of the floor. Their drain system was not working, so they were sucking up the water with a shop vac. We used the WaterGuard Below Floor Drain to collect the water and send it to the sump pump to be discharged outside. We also installed a new sump pump to keep the water out. The TripleSafe provides three levels of protection from water, even in cases of a power outage or a pump malfunction.
Albert's old home in Olivet had a collapsing foundation wall in need of a support system to protect the safety of his home. He trusted Ayers for the job, so he gave us a call. Our team concluded that SmartJacks were required to prevent the wall collapse. First, our team had to remove part of the stones that made up this wall to create room for the steel jacks. The tube steel used for SmartJacks consists of a strong triple-layer, in-line galvanizing coating. This foundation repair solution can support loads over 60,000 pounds, and the steel columns rest on a sturdy base within the ground. Albert feels confident with the new foundation support he desperately needs!
Amanda had water coming in her basement and it is now standing water. She needed a solution to the standing water and wanted it fixed so it woulnd't happen again. We decided the WaterGuard was the best option for her and the leaks. The drain is installed under the floor and collects the water that seeps into the basement. The WaterGuard takes the water collected and drains it to the sump pump to be expelled out of the home.
Dina's Barn was built in the 1970s with a wood foundation and it has begun to sink. She called Ayers for an inspection and our crew determined that Helical Piers, holding the barn up from the outside, would be the perfect solution.
Helical Piers are made of steel helix-shaped blades that are screwed into the soil and the piers that can be extended to the appropriate depth. They're attached to the foundation's footing so the weight is evenly distributed and the barn is permanently stabilized.
Dina was grateful to have the old horse barn fixed up and useable again, and our crew loved spending time with her goats!
