The front walkway should be an inviting path to the home; it shouldn't be a tripping hazard. As soil beneath the concrete slabs changes due to moisture or washout, the levels of the slabs change, making a walkway or sidewalk uneven. A solution to fixing slab settlement is PolyLevel. This state of the art approach consists of injecting the slab with high-density polymers. This material is waterproof, meaning it won't wash out benath the slab in the future. It's quick drying time allows the slabs to be walked in within 15 minutes of application. PolyLevel helped even this walkway, making it a safe entryway to the home.
Our friend Shawn in Hudsonville, MI found himself telling his guests “be careful on my uneven sidewalk” as they approached his home. Not only did this un-even sidewalk become a liability, it also became a water drainage problem. During storms Shawn’s sidewalk was causing large water puddles to form right near his home. Shawn’s parents suggested that he replace the concrete, but he found it hard to believe there weren’t more effective and less invasive options available to him. So, he started searching for one, seeking a superior and less invasive fix he called us! We used our unique product offering Poly Level to return Shawn’s sidewalk to its original position. Poly Level raises concrete through unique qualities of expanding polyurethane foam, making it: environmentally safe, affordable, waterproof to prevent future erosion, quick and mess free, and a permanent solution! Poly Level not only results in a solution that looks better and lasts longer, it is also less destructive to the applied surface. Poly Level rose to the sidewalk challenge Shawn faced, and it can work for you too!
The concrete slab leading into this Zeeland, MI garage had sunk about 2" on one side and about 1.5" on the other. Using PolyLevel, we were able to lift the slab back into its original position. PolyLevel is the process of injecting high-density polymers into voids beneath the slab through tiny holes drilled in the slab. The voids are filled and the slab is lifted. The holes are then patched and the seams are filled with a joint sealer to help prevent further issues with sinking slabs.
Two concrete slabs meeting at an uneven level is a cause for some concern. Not only does it create an unsightly attraction, but it poses a serious tripping hazard and a popped tire waiting to happen. That's why this family in Zeeland, MI called us. Using our patented PolyLevel injection foam, we were able to raise this slab back to its original position. After the injection, the owners were able to drive on their slab in as little as 15 minutes.
These Zeeland homeowners had a cracked and settled concrete slab on their front porch and one slab that had washed out underneath. We used PolyLevel foam injection to lift the settling slab and to fill underneath the slab that was washed out. PolyLevel is an injectable foam that is very light but strong enough to hold up concrete and the load on top of it. It is waterproof so it will not wash out or react with soil and the curing time is 15 minutes. It is the perfect solution to walkways, sidewalks, and driveways that have sunk.
