Rob wanted to have Egress Windows installed to replace his small windows in the basement. He called up Ayers to go ahead with the installation.
Egress Windows are larger, allowing for more fresh air to circulate the basement and they make the space more inviting. More natural light will fill the room and will give your basement that finished look you may desire. Egress Windows even provide a safe exit option in the event an emergency occurs and you need an easy way out.
Rob is glad he chose Egress Windows as they make his basement space more inviting!
Laurence realized water was leaking through the seams of his basement walls and floors and was unsure how to fix it himself. He researched his options online and called Ayers about our waterproofing solutions. We sent a team of specialists to his home to examine the situation, and they recommended the installation of WaterGuard, a drainage pipe system that prevents clogging before it starts. WaterGuard sits on top of the footing, rather than alongside it, to avoid collecting mud and clogging the drain. Laurence loves his dry basement!
We received a call from these Greenville, MI customers less than a year after they installed a new Egress window into their basement. While the window had been installed correctly, whoever handled the installation hadn’t taken the necessary steps to prevent future complications. Water was seeping through the blocks whenever it rained heavily and leaking down to the floor, damaging the block walls along the way. Since looking at water damaged walls day in and out can grow a bit tiring, the couple gave us a call, hoping for something a bit more appealing.
Our Brightwall panels were attached over the block walls. The real benefit of BrightWall panels – besides not being an eyesore – is that they allow for drainage behind them. If water continues to leak through the stone walls, it won’t damage or grow mold on the rigid plastic panels. Instead, the water will flow down the stones and into the perimeter drainage system (pictured in the after photo) that the crew installed. Things are looking a whole lot brighter for this Greenville, MI home.
Note: The after photo is not the completed project. Concrete was poured to cover the drainage system at the bottom of the picture.
After assessing this Greenville, MI basement, we knew our WaterGuard system would be perfect to help keep it dry all year round. WaterGuard is a track system installed around the perimeter of the basement. The floor around the perimeter of the basement is removed, the system is installed, and concrete is then poured back over. The system prevents water from puddling on the floor by directing the flow to the Sump Pump and outside of the house. This system is extremely reliable and functions with ease, all while discreetly hidden underneath the floor.
Note: after picture was taken before concrete was poured back over WaterGuard.
Marcia was in serious need of a waterproofing system that would solve her water intrusion issues that were causing her unnecessary stress. She called Ayers for solutions and after an inspection our System Design Specialists determined she needed our WaterGuard System and our TripleSafe Sump Pump System.
WaterGuard is perfect for her issues because this is a sub-floor drainage system placed around the perimeter of the basement and will catch any water leaking in through the walls. This will be connected to the sump pump and is concealed with concrete poured over. Then with TripleSafe this is a three pump system that will remove the water leaking into her home. The first pump will get most of the water out, the second is there for backup, and the third is battery-operated for power failures.
Marcia was relieved to get her water issues permanently resolved so her belongings stay dry!
