Mary, a former librarian, has had a wet crawl space for years. The home was built in the 50s, and when it rained heavily, standing water would accumulate. She called Ayers for an inspection, and our crew determined that she would need CleanSpace Wall System and a SandiDry Sedona dehumidifier. The librarian she is, Mary did heavy research before ultimately choosing Ayers.
CleanSpace Wall System is a moisture barrier that uses a thick plastic liner along crawl space walls to keep them dry and last decades longer. It also has antibacterial properties that prevent mold and bacteria growth. Damp air takes more energy to heat and cool. Cutting down on the moisture in the crawl space, in turn, will cut down on how much it costs to heat or cool the home. The SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier automatically removes up to 100 pints of water a day from the air in the home’s crawl space. This system circulates the now dry air through the basement and automatically removes the leftover water so you don’t have to.
Mary was thrilled to be able to finally get this taken care of. She was more than satisfied with the work done by our crew and no longer has to worry about water accumulating ever again.
John and Susan getting older and wanted to get a ranch, so they just moved into their new Bay City, MI home. Before they began on any cosmetic home improvement projects, they wanted to get the crawl space checked. Susan has been been smelling something musty and moldy since they moved in and it's been bothering her allergies. They called Ayers for an inspection. Our crew determined that they would first need to clear out major dirt and debris from the crawl space, then install CleanSpace and a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier.

Ginger has a list of all the renovations and landscaping that she wants to do to her home. She figured it was best to start with some projects in her basement like waterproofing and adding an egress window. We installed an Egress Window for a safe exit in case of emergencies and to let natural light into the space. To waterproof we used the WaterGuard drain system to collect water that seeps into the basement and the SuperSump which is a great sump pump for basements that have occasional water issues. We added the battery back up system to the sump pump in case the home lost power or the system got unplugged accidentally. We also installed BrightWall Basement Panels to keep out water vapor, humidity, and mold growth.
Ayers Basement Systems received a call from Rich and Rebecca, who were seeking a solution for the flooding issue in their Elwell, Michigan home. For over two decades, they have been struggling with water intrusion, and with their retirement approaching, they were looking for a permanent fix. They wanted to spend four months of the year at their vacation home and not worry about their house flooding while they were away. After researching multiple companies, they decided to choose Ayers due to our expert team and exceptional reputation. Upon inspection, our crew recommended the installation of Waterguard and our SuperPump Plus to address their concerns.
WaterGuard is a subfloor waterproofing system that collects water that leaks through the walls and keeps dirt away from the foundation. It is installed along the perimeter of the basement and on top of the footing of the foundation. Concrete is poured on top and regular flooring can be placed on top.
Our SuperPump Plus is an excellent solution for those who want to avoid an open sump pit. It effectively captures groundwater and can be connected to our WaterGuard system for drainage. Its airtight lid ensures debris is kept out and children or pets can't fall in, making it a safer option. The SuperPump Plus also has a built-in alarm to alert you if the water level rises too high. Made from durable cast iron, it provides high-volume pumping capabilities.
Rich and Rebecca were thrilled with the installation and the work our crew did on their basement. They feel safe and secure going to their vacation home knowing the house will not flood anytime soon. The couple was so impressed with the level of craftsmanship and professionalism displayed by everyone they interacted with, and can't wait to retire!
Our customer was looking to finish their basement and needed an egress window. The home was made our poured concrete walls and built in the 1980’s. Egress windows are a requirement when finishing your basement or using it as a bedroom for safety precautions. In case of an emergency, you want to make sure your family is safe and that just isn’t possible with submarine windows. You also want to make sure your windows are nice and sealed so no water can get through them and into your basement.
