Do you plan on spending more time in your basement, maybe making a bedroom or playroom down there? Well, it's important that your house is up to code and safe with two exits in case of an emergency. The door is one exit and an egress window makes for the perfect second exit. We completely install the egress window/cover and do all the work for you. This will give you and your family peace of mind and helps with the resale value of your home if you ever want to sell it.
Jamie and her husband, Brian, have a son who will be moving into the room in their basement. The room is currently unfinished but they want to finish it once they replace the window with an Egress Window. The Egress has a larger size and the well has a ladder in it so it provides a safe exit in case of emergencies. The large window also allows more light into the room so it looks bigger and more welcoming.
David gets water into a corner of his partially finished basement every time it rains. To fix his problem, we installed the WaterGuard drain system. This system collects water that seeps into the area and drains it to the sump pump. We also installed a new sump pump, the TripleSafe Sump Pump. This sump pump provides the home with three levels of protection in case of pump malfunction or a power outage and gives the homeowner peace of mind that their home is safe.
Jamie and Brian want to finish their basement so that their son can move in. This is their forever home so they want everything to be done right, which means they need to install an Egress Window. The egress and window well allows for a safe exit in case of an emergency and is required if you have a room in the basement. We also installed the WaterGuard drain system and Basement to Beautiful Insulated Wall Panels to prep the basement for finishing. The drain system collects water that leaks into the space and sends it to the sump pump. The wall panels insulate the area and separate the finishing panels from the foundation walls to avoid cold spots!
Amanda started to get concerned when she noted water seeping into her basement so she decided to make the call to Ayers. We had our professionals head over to her home for a free inspection to make some recommendations. From there our System Design Specialists were able to determine she would need our WaterGuard System and TripleSafe System.
Now with WaterGuard installed this sub-floor drainage system will collect any dirt or water seeping in through wall cracks. This is placed along the perimeter of the basement and concrete is then poured over it. The final product we installed was TripleSafe which consists of a three pump system that fits in one sturdy liner. The first pump will keep most of the water out of her basement, the second pump is there for any assistance the first pump may need, and the last pump will turn on if the power fails.
Amanda was thrilled to have our professionals tackle this stressful issue for her!
