Bill has lived in his house since 2018 and the walkway leading up to the front door is uneven, becoming a major hazard. He called Ayers for an inspection, and our crew determined that a combination of PolyLevel and NexusPro would be the perfect solution for Bill’s home.
The PolyLevel system is used to repair sinking concrete by drilling minuscule holes into the slab and filling them with foam. The foam raises the slab and fortifies it to make it last even longer. NexusPro is a sealant that fills the cracks in the concrete. It is extremely withstanding to harsh weather so it will remain intact for years.
Bill was thrilled with the service provided by Ayers. He is excited to have a more aesthetically pleasing safer home for him and his family.
Mervin noticed water leaking into his basement after the last storm and knew there was an issue with his sump pump. After researching his options, he called Ayers to hear about our waterproofing solutions. We sent a team of experts to his home who evaluated the situation and replaced the old pump with TripleSafe. Pump failure is common, and TripleSafe aims to eliminate it by including backup and battery-powered options. Mervin is relieved to have a dry basement again!
An effort to finished this basement in Osceola, IN turned into adding in a basement bedroom. Unfortunately, the bedroom wouldn’t be too inviting the way it was. The only window was a small rectangular block high on the wall. To make the room feel more homelike and less “basementy”, not to mention meeting safety codes, the owner had decided to upgrade that rectangle to an egress window and well.
First, the crew removed the original window and filled in the hole with block wall material. Then came the installation of the egress. An egress window will benefit this basement in more than just adding light; the well and window are made of inorganic plastic material so they won’t erode or leak. The comparison between the before and after photos shows just how much of an effect a one-day installation can have for a basement.
This customer had recently finished the basement in their home. It was being used as an office space and bedroom. Unfortunately, those submarine style windows were making it unsafe. According to building codes, when using your basement as a living space, it is a requirement to have an additional exit aside from the entrance. Egress windows are the solution! They not only provide a large and safe exit, but they also allow additional light in the space, making it more lively.
Robert G. contacted us because he was looking to have his sidewalks and driveway leveled. They had sunk about 3-4 inches due to a weak soil issue below the slabs, but luckily our team of experts knew the perfect solution.
We used the PolyLevel system to raise and level out the uneven slabs. We started by drilling small, penny-sized holes into the concrete. The holes were then injected with a specialized polymer material that expanded to immediately lift the slabs. This system used dense and lightweight polymers level out the slabs and deal with the weak soils below that were no longer strong enough to hold the concrete in place. To fill in any cracks or gaps between the slabs, we used the NexusPro Joint Sealant that seals off the gaps and prevents them from expanding over time.
