This family called us because they had water occasionally coming in their crawl space which was causing mold to grow and they had a dirt floor allowing critters and outside air in. We all know mold is not something that should be taken lightly as it can cause health issues and can tremendously affect the resale value of your home. We don't put dirt floors in basements so why does having a dirt floor in your crawl space sound okay? We sent a system design specialist out to the home to see what could be done and offer the best solution to the problem.
The homeowner and system design specialist agreed that installing our CleanSpace system would be the best answer. CleanSpace ensures that the crawl space will be isolated from the earth so no critters, air or ground water can evaporate into the atmosphere of the space. It's also made of a very thick plastic so there is no worrying about it tearing or not holding up. The liner is also made with an antimicrobial additive that prevents the growth of mold.
Cheryl from Battle Creek, MI was having issues with the walls in her basement bowing outward. With extended observation, she could tell the walls were continuing to move. The crack that formed in one of her walls grew to a horizontal distance of more than twelve feet! Cheryl became noticeably frightened about her wall and called us in search of professional help. We went to her home and devised a complete solution consisting of 15 Carbon Armor straps. The Carbon Armor wall reinforcement system is a state-of-the-art solution for bowing and cracking foundation walls. These straps are made from a fiber reinforced polymer that's ten times stronger than steel and is specifically designed for this purpose. Using high strength epoxy resin, the straps are attached the wall and secured with heavy duty steel brackets. Carbon Armor straps improve the condition of bowing and cracked walls by reversing the forces of nature and allowing them to move back to their original position. The best part is that this system requires no exterior excavation, installs quickly, and won't impact future basement finishing. With this cutting-edge solution in place, Cheryl can remain calm knowing her walls will eventually return to their proper position.
Robert had heavy water intrusion through his basement window. He called our team for help and to prevent any further water from entering his basement. So we installed an EverLast basement window. Due to the materials they are made from, Everlast windows never rot. In addition, they are made from insulated glass so you don't need to worry about heat loss.
A customer wanted to turn his basement into a living space and so he called us to install Egress Windows and Wells. Egress Window Wells are required because they are big enough to provide a safe exit in case of emergency. In addition, these windows provide lots of natural light. Lastly, most windows offer minimal protection against outside air entering the home due to poor insulation around the window. Egress windows will help ventilate your indoor areas and prevent unwanted allergens from entering your house.
This homeowner had some concrete on the sidewalk leading to their front door that was not level. He was worried about it being a tripping hazard for people walking to the door. We had an easy, fast solution for them! We used PolyLevel to lift up the fallen concrete and take away the risk of someone tripping. PolyLevel is an injectable foam that goes under the concrete to help lift it back up the original position. It is waterproof so it won't get washed out and it wont drain harmful chemicals into the soil. The best part is that PolyLevel cures in about 15 minutes so it won't disrupt the homeowner or the home!
