Ayers Basement Systems Before & After Photos

Don and his wife are currently working on finishing their Munith, MI home that they purchased in January. The couple plans on retiring in the next 5-10 years, so they really want to make sure their home is in tip-top shape before they retire full-time. They had a sump pump, but the waterline was so high, it was making Don nervous. Ayers came out for an inspection and saw that the water intrusion was steady and the sump pump was 2 gallons too full. Our crew determined that Don and his wife would need a new TripleSafe sump pump and WaterGuard with IceGuard. 

The TripleSafe sump pump system utilizes three pumps in order to remove excess water from the basement. The second and third pumps are in case of emergencies so the basement can remain dry, even when the power goes out. 

WaterGuard is a sub-floor waterproofing system that collects water that leaks through the walls and keeps dirt away from the foundation. It is installed along the perimeter of the basement and on top of the footing of the foundation. Concrete is poured on top and regular flooring can be placed on top. Finally, IceGuard was installed in conjunction with the WaterGuard. IceGuard is a simple addition to your already existing sump pump. It allows water to escape when the discharge line is frozen and prevents your basement flooding in cold weather. IceGuard is completely automatic, meaning after the initial installation, it’s done. 

Don and his wife were ecstatic with the work completed by Ayers and our crew and cannot wait to retire full-time. The were so impressed with the level of professionalism and craftsmanship that they would be thrilled to have us back if ever the need arises. 

Fred was looking to get his crawl space area encapsulated to help keep his home better protected. He called Ayers and we had a crew conduct a free inspection so we could recommend the right solutions. These recommendations being CleanSpace and SuperSump Plus. CleanSpace is a thick, plastic liner we place over the crawl space floor to protect it from excess moisture that leads to mold or bacteria growth. Next we added SuperSump Plus in case he ever experiences occasional water leaks since this will take care of 2200 gallons of water an hour at an 8 foot head. Fred was very pleased with the results as his crawl space is now in much better shape!

Time and mother nature had taken their toll on Frank's foundation. Frank's floor began to bow, thus he decided to call Ayers and set up a home inspection. An Ayers System Design Specialist determined structural supports were needed to support the home's floor joist. Thus, The team at Ayers suggested and installed SmartJacks! The SmartJack system utilizes a load-bearing concrete base and steel columns that are connected to the floor joist. Once installed, The SmartJack system was able to raise Frank's floor back to level and permanently stabilize his home! 

Frank and Kelly just moved into their home and noticed the foundation started to sink. They wanted to do the renovations themselves but called Ayers to see if we had any advice. We informed Frank and Kelly that this was a job for professionals and that our SmartJacks would be the perfect solution. SmartJacks are steel supports to balance the foundation of your crawl space, lifting it to its original position. They can be adjusted so your home will never shift out of place. Frank and Kelly were grateful that they can sleep peacefully in their new home for years to come.

Laura's foundation in the corner of her garage was starting to settle and form holes. She researched foundation repair options nearby and chose Ayers for our years of expertise in the field. Once our crew inspected this problem area, they concluded helical piers were necessary. This solution consists of helical plates welded to the pier shaft. These plates help pull the pier into the soil during installation and provide anchoring strength as the weight of the foundation transfers to the pier. The advantage of this solution is they have the versatility for stabilizing and restoring settling foundations. Laura feels relieved now that her garage foundation is finally permanently addressed!
