Mike and Denise, owners of a beautifully maintained 180-year-old home in Concord, MI, wanted to improve the condition of their crawl space, which had long been a source of frustration due to its unpleasant environment. They contacted Ayers Basement Systems and we created a custom solution including spray foam insulation, dimple board for drainage, TerraBlock™ for added insulation, and CleanSpace® vapor barrier for full encapsulation. Our crew executed the project with precision and professionalism, transforming the crawl space into a clean, dry, and energy-efficient area. Mike and Denise were thrilled with the results, noting the crew's respectful approach and the significant improvement to their historic home.
Erin and Michael realized a large crack had formed in the garage, causing a void. The couple tried to fill the void, yet it only worsened their situation as water had no way to drain. The couple reached out to Ayers to find a permanent solution. After inspecting their home, the team suggested the PolyLevel System. PolyLevel is a system where foam is inserted below the cement allowing the team to rise and level the cement. Erin and Michael were thrilled with the solution; their cement could now drain correctly and looked terrific!
Garrett worried about his family’s safety in his basement due to the windows which don't open. He didn't want to worry about the unthinkable, so he called Ayers. A team of experts went to Garrett's house and suggested an egress window. Egress windows are designed with safety in mind, allowing for escape and providing ladder rungs for ease. Garrett knew this was a perfect solution to his potentially dangerous basement!
We aided a business owner with a falling retaining wall they were worried about. They attempted to replace half of this wall, but now the other half was starting to collapse. Our recommendation was to install our GeoLock wall anchor system. The anchors are designed to repair walls that slide inwards, tilt at the top, bow, and buckle. This system consists of galvanized steel for a long-lasting solution that prevents further cracking. The GeoLock anchors work by extending from the wall to stable soil beyond the building. The company is grateful for the permanent foundation solution that makes the business safer!
Mary worried moisture entering her crawl space could cause mold growth and structural damage to her home, so she called Ayers to learn about our waterproofing solutions. Our specialists stopped by her house and suggested installing EverLast doors. Crawl space doors are typically made with plywood that's not fit to prevent moisture. The EverLast door is strong, plastic, and won't crack, warp, or shrink over time. Mary is happy she called Ayers and got the job done quickly!
