Joseph and Bonnie knew about a little bit of settlement when they bought the home, but it has progressively gotten worse. The couple wanted to take care of it now before it became a bigger issue, so they called Ayers for an inspection. Upon inspection, our crew noticed that one wall had settled about three quarters of an inch and another settled an inch and a half. All three of the main beams were sagging as well. Our crew determined that Joseph and Bonnie’s home would need SmartJacks to stabilize the foundation.
SmartJacks are steel supports that balance the foundation of the crawlspace, lifting it to its original position. They can be adjusted so the home will never shift out of place and are anchored into the ground with poured concrete.
Joseph and Bonnie were thrilled with the service provided by Ayers! They were so happy to get this problem taken care of before it became a larger issue. The couple will have a safe and stable home for their family for years to come.
Trudy noticed her stone basement walls had large, deep cracks in them. The cracks allowed moisture entry, and she couldn't tolerate it anymore, so she called Ayers for help. We sent a team of professionals to her home to examine the space and see what we could do. They suggested Shotcrete, a solution that applies a concrete or mortar wet spray through a high-pressure hose to fill a form or repair damaged surfaces. Trudy loves her new walls!
Cheryl and her husband John were previous customers of Ayers Basement Systems. They were so happy with the work we did last time that they wanted us to do more! The couple called Ayers for an inspection and were absolutely thrilled that we were able to squeeze them in before the end of the year. John was kind enough to already have the crawlspace dug to 8ft. so we could come in Shotcrete the walls.
Shotcrete is a sprayable concrete that stabilizes crawl space walls and fills any holes letting in unwanted water or air. First, we secure steel wiring to the walls for extra support and for something for the Shotcrete can adhere to. Next, it's applied through a high-pressure house. The extra air propelling the concrete out is what makes the Shotcrete able to be applied to vertical and sloping surfaces. Finally, we smooth out any bumps or rough parts, so it looks perfect.
Cheryl and John were ecstatic with the work we did on their home for the second time. They love Ayers and everyone on the crew! We are privileged to be able to have such amazing and loyal customers like Cheryl and John.
Phyllis worried about the cracks in her driveway's concrete slabs, as they protruded out and could be a safety concern. She decided to call Ayers and learn more about our concrete repair solutions. Our experts visited her home to inspect the driveway and suggested an advanced mud-jacking process called PolyLevel. This process injects polymer foam into voids underneath the concrete slab through pea-sized holes, which then expands to raise the slab to the desired level. Phyllis loves her driveway's new look.
Laurie worried about the water pooling on her basement floor. After researching her options online, she called Ayers to learn about our waterproofing solutions. We sent a team of experts to visit her home and examine the basement to recommend a solution. They decided to install the TripleSafe sump pump, which includes three pumps designed to react to pump failure. The system contains a primary and backup pump but also has a third, battery-powered pump in case of power outages. Laurie is relieved she doesn't have to worry about her pump failing again!
