We received an inquiry from Katie about encapsulating and cleaning up her messy crawl space. Our crew at Ayers recommended our CleanSpace vapor barrier liner. This feature prevents the accumulation of moisture that leads to harmful mold or bacteria and musty smells. We installed the waterproof liner along the crawl space floor and walls. Before we even got to work, our team removed the extra debris that scattered the floor. Katie's crawl space is in excellent condition for the long run now!

We answered a call from a concerned homeowner in Hanover, MI, looking to get her crawl space insulated. Our system design specialists spoke with Karen during an inspection to determine the best solution. The team's recommendation was to install CleanSpace. This liner is placed on the crawl space floor and walls, providing a waterproof and airtight seal. The vapor barrier it holds prevents the buildup of excess moisture. The soil moisture leads to mold and bacteria development. Before laying down the liner, we add our drainage matting. This dimpled mat makes it easier for water to flow under the liner to the sump pump. The sump will eradicate the water from her crawl space. Our solutions will not only keep this area insulated for Karen but will also ensure permanent protection!

Rose has lived in her Michigan Center, MI home for a few years. When she moved in, she had Ayers out for a bit of waterproofing work. Now a new issue has arisen with her foundation. After the last big rain, water entered from the north wall. The foundation in that spot has bowed and shifted. After an inspection in Rose's home, our crew determined that she would need GeoLock Wall Anchors as well as 3 inch Helical Piers. 

GeoLock Wall Anchors permanently stops foundational shifting in its tracks. The anchors have three parts. The first part is a plate on the interior foundation wall. A steel cable is drilled through the plate into the soil, directed away from the home. A second plate is anchored to the other side of the cable for maximum stabilization. 

Helical Piers are made of steel helix-shaped blades that are screwed into the soil and the piers that can be extended to the appropriate depth. They're attached to the foundation’s footing so the weight is evenly distributed and the home is permanently stabilized.
