Brian H. noticed some cracks in his garage. Unfortunately, the slab outside of his garage was beginning to sink. We used PolyLevel to raise the slab. It has a lifting force that ranges from 2,000 to 4,000 pound per square foot. PolyLevel requires fewer holes than mudjacking, has a quick cure time, is waterproof, and environmentally friendly.
Jeff called up Ayers to get the concrete used for his company's floor fixed up. The concrete was unlevel and causing a tripping hazard so we sent a team to inspect the area. Our professionals were then able to determine that PolyLevel would correct this issue. PolyLevel will lift and level the concrete with its small lightweight foam injections that expand. It is a strong but light solution so it doesn't put any extra pressure on the concrete as this is what causes it to settle. PolyLevel is also waterproof and stable so it won't wash away or react with the soil. Jeff was happy to get his company's floor smoothed out for his and his employee's safety!
The approach to Ben's garage was settling, causing there to be a decent bump every time he was entering or leaving. He was worried that water would get in and make it even worse so he called to get the concrete leveled and protected. We used PolyLevel to raise the concrete back up and keep it level with the garage. It is waterproof and stable so it won't wash away or react with the soil beneath it. We also used NexusPro to seal the joints of the concrete. This keeps debris from getting under the slab and degrading it from below. Both PolyLevel and NexusPro can be installed on the same day and the whole process (installation and drying time) takes a couple of hours so the fix will not be an inconvenience to the homeowner.
Our friends at the Mackinaw City, MI Public Schools began noticing that the tile around their wood gymnasium floor was sinking. They knew that this giant safety hazard and liability needed to be fixed. Breaking the cement up and replacing it seemed like an invasive process. Searching for a more effective solution to their flooring danger, these wise teaching professionals called us!
We used our unique product offering PolyLevel to return the sinking tile floor to the same level as the wood floor. PolyLevel raises concrete through unique qualities of expanding polyurethane foam, making it: environmentally safe, affordable, waterproof to prevent future erosion, quick and mess free, and a permanent solution! PolyLevel not only results in a solution that looks better and lasts longer, it is also less destructive to the applied surface. PolyLevel was able to put this gymnasium floor back into like new shape. If you find yourself struggling with cement structure issues like the Mackinaw City Comets, give us a call for a free estimate before you decide to replace your cement.
Sinking sidewalks occur when the pressure from concrete slabs are too much for the soil underneath to bear. Notice how in the before picture the slab appears to slant downwards as it reaches the wall. Most methods for treating sinking slabs are temporary, be they replacing the concrete or slab jacking – pumping a mixture of mud and cement below the slab. These methods don’t treat the root cause of sinking concrete, the soil below; and, often times, the resulting repair may be as uneven as before. That is why here at Ayers we use the PolyLevel injection system. By pumping an expanding polymer foam below the surface of the concrete, we can provide a more stable support system to sidewalks like these.
The crew injected the PolyLevel directly into each of the settling slabs and pumped the polymer until it filled in the voids left by the settling soil. Once the waterproof polymer raised the slab to a leveled height, the injection was ended and the clean-up process began. Thanks to a simple 2-day injection, this walkway will remain at a leveled height without the threat of sinking any lower.
