The living room addition floor of this Marcellus, MI home had started to slope downwards (as seen in the before photo). After lifting up the carpet to get a better understanding of the situation, the owners saw that the floor was both sinking and cracked. Lucky for them, concrete lifting is just another one of Ayers Basement Systems’ specialties.
To raise the floor, the crew pumped PolyLevel - an expanding polymer used to fill in the gaps where soil has settled - below the slab. While PolyLevel is usually used to lift concrete slabs and sidewalks, this addition’s floor was also poured concrete, so raising the floor wouldn’t affect the house’s foundation. The after photo shows the multiple different holes where the injections were made. Now, the owners can rest in this living room without fear of sinking away.
The concrete in Marshall’s driveway was uneven so he called our team. To fix his problem, we installed PolyLevel, a system designed to fix concrete slabs that have sunk by using polyurethane foam that expands and has a high density in order to raise the concrete. The process is quite simple and is done by drilling small holes into the concrete and then inserting the foam into the holes. Also, the PolyLevel system is waterproof and long-lasting.
Robert contacted our team because his driveway and sidewalk were settling. We installed PolyLevel, a waterproof and long-lasting system designed to fix concrete slabs that have sunk. Jeff had noticed his front porch concrete slab was settling due to the poor compacted soil. We used PolyLevel to lift the concrete back to a level position. This light weight foam is waterproof and stable so it won't get washed away or react with the soil underneath. It only takes about 15 minutes to cure so it won't be an inconvenience for the homeowners.
After years of wanting to fix her driveway and walkway, this Portage, MI customer finally made the right decision and gave Ayers Basement Systems a call. The sinking concrete was sloping and creating large gaps in the walkways. The combination made the walk up to this home a dangerous trip.
When concrete begins to settle like this, the best solution is an injection of PolyLevel. The waterproof foam is injected below the slab to stabilize the ground where soil has failed. The foam then expands into the voids that the sinking concrete created and raises the slab. Our crews are experts when it comes to Polylevel, so they know exactly how much to inject to level off the slabs. Thanks to those experts, walking in and out of this house is as it should be: worry-free.
Note: Any remaining gaps in the after photo were sealed with caulk later in production.
