Foundation Repair Photo Album: Fixing a Sinking Foundation in Harrison

The Harrisons' secondary home was experiencing foundational issues. The home was sinking and it was all concentrated towards one corner. The sinking caused the garage frame to warp out of place. When our foreman Blade finished his inspection, he was confident he had an extensive project on his hands. Using the best tools for stabilization, Blade and his team managed to restore and reinforce a crawlspace the cable guy once called, "gross."

SmartJack

To introduce more support to the home and counteract the sinking, Blade and his team installed SmartJack piers into the home's crawls space at strategic points, anchoring the bottom of the steel beam to the foundation with poured concrete and fixing the tops with load bearing joints, fixed to the rim joist. The entire apparatus is tightened to apply constant corrective force, making this system a terminate solution to structural issues.

Every crawl space our team here at Ayers is fitted with a CleanSpace lining. CleanSpace is an antimicrobial lining that protects the home's support structures and protects against mold and moisture. Moisture is a major risk to a home's safety. The water in the air caries bacteria that consume organic material like wood found in beams and rim joists.
