Drainage Matting is Installed Before CleanSpace
Installing drainage matting underneath the CleanSpace system allows just enough room for any moisture to drain away. This provides an extra layer of protection.
CleanSpace Installed Around Duct Work
In a crawl space as tight as this, it's necessary to work around existing elements of the space. In this case, we installed the CleanSpace system around the duct work hanging from the ceiling.
CleanSpace Creates Dry, Usable Space
With the CleanSpace system installed, what was once musty and damp is now clean and dry.
New Floor Support Beams are Installed
Ambient moisture and humidity can cause more problems than an unpleasant smell. They can also threaten the integrity of the home by rotting the floor of the home sitting on top of the space. We installed support beams to strengthen one span of floor in the crawl space. Here they are waiting to be wrapped.
CleanSpace Installed in Tight Crawl Space
As shown from the wide shot, the crawl space is short enough that the duct work (which isn't huge) touches both the ceiling and floor. Installation involves a lot of wiggling on our crew's part, but it's worth it for a job well done.
CleanSpace Creates Better Visibility in Crawl Space
In addition to making the space clean and dry, the bright white of the CleanSpace actually increases visibility in the crawl space. What would you rather shine a light on - this, or sand and dirt?
Support Beams Wrapped in CleanSpace Vapor Barrier
CleanSpace isn't only used to cover the floor and walls of the crawl space. It is also wrapped around support beams to protect them from any ambient moisture or humidity in the air. This prevents mold and wood rot.
