Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Waterproofing a Crawl Space in Lansing, MI

Hannah and Pete were dealing with standing water in their crawl space, and they decided to contact Ayers to find a solution. A System Design Specialist inspected their home and determined water was leaking through the foundation. Since there were no waterproofing measures, the water stayed once getting into the crawl space. After talking with the team at Ayers, Hannah and Pete decided to have various products installed to eliminate their water issues permanently!

Installing Drainage Matting

Hannah and Pete opted to have Drainage Matting installed in their crawl space. The matts sit on the ground below the CleanSpace liner and help funnel the water towards a sump pump. The dimples create paths for the water to flow, eliminating standing water!

Laying Down CleanSpace

CleanSpace is a heavy-duty plastic liner that acts as a moisture barrier for the crawl space. The liner encapsulates the whole area stopping any water from getting into the crawl space. Instead, water will flow behind the liner and drain to the SmartSump!

Finalizing the Install

After installing CleanSpace and Drainage matting, it was time to install the sump pump. Hannah and Pete opted for the SuperSump Plus, which houses a powerful pump ad that will efficiently pump water out night and day! Hannah and Pete also installed a SaniDry Dehumidifier, further eliminating moisture in the air. After the installation, Hannah and Pete were thrilled they no longer had standing water in their crawl space!
