Implementing the WaterGuard System
Our team determined that the WaterGuard system would solve Julie's problems! WaterGuard is a French drain system that sits below the basement floor and above the home fitting, keeping it out of sight and away from the mud zone!
Finalizing the WaterGuard Drain
WaterGuard is installed around the perimeter of the basement and catches water seeping through the foundation. The drain will funnel all water to a pump in the home, eliminating the stench!
Providing Additional Precautions with CleanSpace
Our team suggested installing the CleanSpace liner for additional waterproofing efforts. CleanSpace utilizes a heavy-duty plastic liner creating a vapor barrier. Any water causing the stench will go behind the liner and to the drain on the floor. Julie was thrilled that she no longer had a horrible smell in her basement!
