Implementing the WaterGuard System
Nichole opted to install the WaterGuard system. WaterGuard is a French drain system that sits below the basement floor and above the home's footing. The location of the drain keeps it out of the mud zone, unlike other drains, so that it won't get clogged up! The drain is installed around the basement perimeter and will catch any water coming in and funnel it to the sump pump!
Installing the TripleSafe Pump
The team at Ayers suggested TripleSafe as it is very efficient and reliable! The TripleSafe utilizes three different pumps within one liner for extra precautions. The two bottom pumps can collectively pump over 5,000 gallons of water out of an 8ft overhead per hour! The 3rd pump provides pumping capabilities if the power goes out, as it is attached to an external battery!
Implementing Window Wellduct Drains
Since most of the water leaked through the windows, the team suggested our Window Wellduct Drain. This system attaches to the base of the window and creates a waterproof design that catches any water from the window. Once the water is collected, it funnels down the system and to the drain on the floor!
Covering the Drain System
The team could cover everything back up once all the waterproofing systems were installed and working correctly! Concrete was filled back in, eliminating the systems from view. Nichole was thrilled with Ayers; everything looked fantastic, and her home was finally water-free!
