Mike and Laurie's home was built in 1910 with a fieldstone foundation. They've had water issues that have only worsened over time. Water has been seeping in where the floor meets the walls and it has started to create bowing walls and sagging floors. They called Ayers for an inspection and we determined that a combination of SmartJacks, WaterGuard, and a TripleSafe sump pump to correct and prevent damage. After the install, Mike and Laurie were ecstatic to never have to worry about a flood ever again.

When we came out to do an inspection for Mike and Laurie, we saw how bad the basement truly was. These old foundations only last about 100 years. Water covered the floor and there was apparent structural damage.

SmartJacks to Preserve Structural Integrity

We installed SmartJacks to strengthen the foundation. SmartJacks are steel supports that balance the foundation of the home, lifting it to its original position. They can be adjusted so the home will never shift out of place. They are anchored into the ground with poured concrete.

WaterGuard Drainage System

WaterGuard is a sub-floor waterproofing system that collects water that leaks through the walls and keeps dirty away from the foundation. It is installed along the perimeter of the basement and on top of the footing of the foundation. Concrete is poured on top and regular flooring can be placed on top.

TripleSafe Sump Pump

TripleSafe sump pump system utilizes three pumps in order to remove excess water from the basement. The second and third pumps are in case of emergencies so the basement can remain dry, even when the power goes out.
