Preparing For the Drain
WaterGuard is a French drain system that sits below the basement floor. Thus, before the Drain can be placed, concrete around the perimeter of the basement must be torn up and a trench dug.
Placing Down WaterGuard
Once the trench was dug out, the crew at Ayers could place the drain. The system's location keeps it out of the mud zone, unlike other drains eliminating the chance of getting clogged! Any water leaking through the foundation will be caught by the drain and funneled toward the sump pump!
Implementing the TripleSafe System
Bea opted to install the TripleSafe sump pump for internal draining measures. The TripleSafe utilizes three pumps within one-liner for maximum water precautions. Additionally, the third pump in the liner is attached to an external battery allowing the pump to run even in emergencies! Bea was thrilled that she had found a permanent solution for her basement!
