Implementing WaterGuard
The team suggested WaterGuard as it would catch any water leaking from the edges of the basement. WaterGuard is a French Drain System that sits below the basement floor and above the home's footing. The position of the drain is out of the mud zone, unlike other drains, meaning it won't get clogged up with muck! The drain will catch any water and funnel it directly to the sump pump!
Installing the DoubleSafe Sump Pump
Michael opted to install the DoubleSafe System, with utilizes two powerful pumps! The bottom pump can pump 2,220 gallons of water out of the home per hour at an 8-foot head! Additionally, the secondary pump is even more powerful and can pump 3,900 gallons of water out of the house per hour!
Installing a WellDuct Drain
Since water was leaking into Michael's home through the window, he installed the WellDuct Drain. This drain will catch all water circulating through the window and funnel it directly to the WaterGuard system below!
Opting for the IceGuard System
Michael decided to install the IceGuard system as he does live in a cold state! In the winter months, if the discharge line out of the home ever freezes, water will still be able to flow through the holes in the fitting!
Finalizing the Installation
Once the sump pump and drain system were all set and installed, the team could cover everything back up! Michael was thrilled that not only were his water issues gone but also that it looked fantastic!
