Photo Album: WaterGuard Installation in Elkhart, IN Home
Chuck had slight water intrusion in his Elkhart, IN home, but thought it was only coming in from the window. He called Ayers for an inspection of the window, but while our crew was there they noticed two other areas of the basement where water had been coming in. We would need to install WaterGuard to combat the water intrusion. Chuck was thrilled with the work and installation performed by the Ayers crew. He loved that they were thorough enough to check for other points of entry for water intrusion. Chuck can live comfortably knowing water will never come into his basement again.
WaterGuard Part 1
WaterGuard is a sub-floor waterproofing system that collects water that leaks through the walls and keeps dirt away from the foundation. First, the floor is dug up along the perimeter of the basement and rocks are placed down for extra drainage.

Next, the actual piping and matting that collects and directs the water away from the home is laid down. Since the piping sits on top, and not along the footing, WaterGuard can't get clogged with mud.

Finally, concrete is poured on top to encapsulate everything. Regular flooring can also easily be placed on top for a final touch.
