New Egress
While Randy and his team were working in the basement Adam requested that they add a window to allow more sunlight into the area. Randy and his team easily met the request by installing one of Ayer's trusted Egress windows. The new Egress Window was a much-needed improvement from what they had previously. Egress Windows are important to allow natural light into the basement and provide a much cleaner appearance in any basement. Ayers Egress windows are installed with an outdoor base that prevents it from flooding and allows light in while keeping A/C in.
IceGuard
THe home was going to see increased traffic during the winter months so Randy and his team installed IceGuard mods onto the home's pipes. These mods are important because they prevent the build-up of ice that would otherwise rupture the pipes. IceGuard is a modification that attaches to the pipes of the home's sump pump. Without the mod ice can build up when the pump pushes water through the system, risking buildups and ruptures. IceGuard is a simple attachment that requires no energy to function year-round.
TripleSafe Pump
The home needed a better sump pump than the one it was originally working with. The initial pump was not powerful enough and had no alternative methods of safety. Randy and his team decided to install a TripleSafe pump to better serve the home. TripleSafe is a trusted sump pump at Ayers due to its three levels of security. The first level is a powerful motor that has a high water capacity. The second level of security is a reserve motor that activates if the water surpasses a certain level on the initial motor. The third level of security is a backup battery that only activates if the home losses power.
WaterGuard Channel System
The home's new pump was not enough to ensure flooding would never be an issue. To ensure the home was ready Randy and his team installed a WaterGuard system to help maintain the flow of water if the sump pump is overworked, WaterGuard is a system of draining channels that are connected to the home's sump pump. The channels are installed under the foundational floor and covered with poured concrete, making it invisible to the naked eye. The channels lead to an outlet pipe that takes the water far away from the home's foundation, depositing the water in a safe location.
