Photo Album: Cottage Drain System

Patrick has a cottage on a lake that has settled. Wanting to stop further settling, they contacted Ayers. When our resident foreman Evan arrived for his inspection he also noticed soft floors that need to be fixed and rotting wood. Evan informed them that their home needed help with drainage to keep this from happening again. To save the home, Evan and his team installed a new pump to control the water, an IceGurad modification to protect the pump, and a Waterguard system to control the flow.

Powerful Pump

To help control the water entering the home Evan and his team installed a TripleSafe pump. The TripleSafe sump pump is a powerful tool trusted by Ayers due to its three safeguards that ensure the apparatus runs around the clock. The 1st safeguard is a powerful motor that can handle high volumes of water. The 2nd safeguard is a reserve motor that activates if the water reaches a certain level. The final safeguard is a reserve battery that activates if the home losses power, giving peace of mind even in extreme weather.

IceGuard Allows for Winter Home Protection

To give the home an extra level of security, Evan and his team fitted the new draining system with an IceGuard modification. IceGuard is attached to the pipes that lead to and from the sump pump. These mods prevent ice from building up within the pipes and allow the water to flow year-round.

WaterGuard Outlet Protects the Home

The Home was in need of a safe way to control any water that the pump might not be able to control due to its location near the water. To remedy this problem Evan and his team used a WaterGuard system and outlet to control potential excess water. The WaterGuard system is comprised of a series of channels under the foundational floor that takes water not pumped by the sump pump and directs it to an outlet that takes the water even further away from the foundational base of the home.
