Photo Album: Securing a Bowed Wall in Holt MI

Mark called us when he noticed multiple cracks in his basment walls. We decided to install GeoLock Anchors which are great for walls that are bowing and buckling. These steel anchors are a long lasting solution to halting further movment in the foundation. GeoLock Wall Anchors are connected to steel rods that are suspended in hard, stable soil. They are anchored into the soil to brace the foundation and stop further movement. These anchors are installed with very minimal disruption to the lawn and they take up no space in the basement.

Signs of a Home Settling

The block wall is staircase cracked from the window to the corner. This is a sign of foundation problems, most likely a home settling. If you see cracking in a wall, call us!

More and More Cracks

The bowing in the walls of the basement has caused the outside wall to crack. This could lead to water in the basement or the walls getting worse.

A Bowing Wall Pushing Against Pipes

The wall behind the washer and dryer is cracked in addition to the wall in the previous picture. This is not good because the bowing of the wall could push against the pipes and cause much more damage.
