Dirt Crawl Space
Like so many, this home has a dirt crawl space. Dirt crawl spaces are never ideal, because it means that everything inside of it is exposed to the outside elements, which in turn gives moisture an easy entry.
Mold Growth
With moisture present, mold is sure to grow, as you can see in this picture. I'm guessing every homeowner in the world would prefer not to have a moldy crawl space and/or basement. Luckily, our encapsulation system will put an end to any mold growth and prevent future growth as well.
CleanSpace
Let's start with CleanSpace. This is a plastic liner that covers every inch of the floor and wall in your crawl space, preventing any outside air or moisture from coming in and wreaking havoc.
CleanSpace Continued
Along with air and moisture, CleanSpace also keeps any little bug or critter from sneaking in. There are literally no holes or cracks for anything to get in through.
SmartSump
Next we have our SmartSump Sump Pump System. The SmartSump is designed specifically for crawl spaces and can provide all of the protection you need from leaks to flooding. This sump pump is designed to fit with the CleanSpace liner. One really cool feature that it has a sump alarm to ensure you are always aware if for whatever reason any water has made its way into your crawl space.
IceGuard Installation
Although IceGuard isn't necessarily part of our crawl space encapsulation system, it still serves a very important purpose during the winter months if your pipe is frozen and the sump pump can't pump anything out. IceGuard is designed on the outside of the house and automatically removes any water from the outside wall in case the pipe freezes. There are holes in the device that allow for the water to be ejected, but it is designed so water will not get out if the pipe is not frozen, simply because there would be no need for water to be ejected from the IceGuard if no freezing has occurred in your pipe.
