This basement had water issues years ago. Some simple thingss like improving the downspout situation on the exterior of the home to navigate water a safe distance away had dramatically improved the water situation. Despite the improvements, the basement was showing signs that water was starting to get in again. A permanent fix was needed to make sure that nothing was damaged and the home was protected down the road. We installed our WaterGuard french drain system which gathers water as it enters the home and directs it to a sump pump for removal from the home. The WaterGuard system sits below the concrete and is not even hardly seen except for a small grap created along the base of the all for the purpose of collecting water. We also installed a SaniDry XP dehumidifier to keep the basement air dry.

Bubbling Paint A Bad Sign

The bubbles or peeling in the paint are a sign that moisture its way back in. The easy DIY fixes are limited. This homeowner needed a permanent fix.

WaterGuard Drain Set In Place

To begin installation of the WaterGuard system, an area of concrete is removed around the perimeter walls to expose the home's footing. The drain is set down in this trench.

SuperSump System Installed

The moisture captured by the WaterGuard system will be directed to this SuperSump system. This sump pump will carry the moisture safely away from the home so that the water doesn't filter back in later on.

WaterGuard Prepared For New Concrete

Once the drain is in place, drainage stone is filled in around it and leveled off. Strips of material are placed over top and the system is ready for concrete to be replaced over top.

Concrete Is Replaced

Any concrete that was removed is replaced creating a seamless transition between new and old.

An installed Inspection port makes service and inspection easy in the years to come.

Discharge Lines Protected By IceGuard

Buried discharge lines have the potential to get blocked up with frozen water during extreme temperatures, causing water to begin backing up into the basement. The IceGuard attachement provides an escape for water in this event in order to avoid backups.

SaniDry XP Removes Water Vaports

The SaniDry Xp is installed to removed water vapors from the air. This unit moves an incredible amount of air through it each day to keep your space dry. The air in your home enters from the bottom floors and exits the top floors so improving the basement air quality improves the air quality of the entire home.
