Trip or Treat! Get Your Sidewalk Halloween-Ready with PolyLevel

As we approach October, you’re probably thinking about Halloween. (If you’re in retail, you’ve probably been thinking about it since mid-August, when pumpkins and princess costumes started appearing everywhere.) Maybe you’re still finalizing a costume, or contemplating decorating the house, or stocking up on candy for trick or treaters. But have you considered your sidewalks?

Never is an uneven sidewalk or driveway more evident than when dozens of kids dressed as Wonder Woman are tripping up and down it. And never is that more likely than when the ground is covered in leaves, obscuring hazards. Yes, it’s funny when people fall down - but it can also get dangerous.

It doesn’t have to be dangerous, though - leveling your sidewalk and driveway is quick and easy with our PolyLevel injection system. Slabs often sink because the soil under them washes away, leaving a void. Gravity and the new lack of stability cause sinking, which results in an uneven surface between slabs. PolyLevel fills existing voids with a water-resistant polymer that won’t be washed away, allowing us to raise affected slabs.

First, a series of holes smaller than a dime are drilled through the sunken slab, and then the polymer is injected under the slab. Once the void is filled, we carefully lift and level it, and then seal the drilled holes. The whole process can usually be completed in less than a day, and the newly lifted concrete is weight-bearing again in under an hour.
