Welcome to the Ayers Team Challenge
Home repair and improvement projects seem like the best case scenario is often, “It was fine.” Nothing was broken or stolen and the project was completed within a mostly acceptable range of the estimated time and cost so...it was fine.
But at Ayers, we don’t want to settle for “fine.” We want to redefine our industry by redefining your experience. From the first time you call to schedule an inspection to the moment you send in your review after the project is complete, we want you to be happy. No, not just happy - thrilled. Thrilled that you chose us and ready to recommend us to your friends and family so they can have the same great experience.
Providing our customers with an exceptional experience starts with having a staff that enjoys working together and communicates well across departments. And if we can provide that with a chance to trash talk and win some prizes, all the better.
That’s why we launched the Ayers Team Challenge on Monday. Why am I telling you this? Because you may notice some extra faces on your jobsite, and you may hear something about points, so I wanted to let you in on the fun.
The challenge is twofold. In Challenge 1, we paired up our system design specialists and foremen into 2-person teams. Each team has a variety of ways they can earn points, including the foremen going on ride-a-longs (joining a SDS on an inspection to learn more about the process) and the system design specialists visiting a job site while an installation is in progress so they can see more of what happens once our crews get to work.
Challenge 2 involves the rest of the company. Our production and service team members and office staff are divided into 4-5 person teams that can earn points through referrals and even getting mentioned in a review.
In addition to the prizes (Members of winning teams from each challenge will receive a SaniDry Sedona, the world’s best dehumidifier, and winners in each category will receive cash prizes), our winners will get ultimate bragging rights, which are honestly more sought after than the prizes. We drew names for Challenge 1 teams at our Monday One Team meeting and there was already plenty of trash talking. Highlights include:
-
Nick Wolf (foreman) looks like he is being dropped off at Little League by Tim Doyle (SDS)
-
Ryan Renfroe (PolyLevel foreman) was paired with Greg Brown (SDS) who is...allergic to PolyLevel.
-
Dawn Sassaman and Dennis James (both SDS) were absent from the meeting. So sales manager Bob stood in for Dawn and Murielle, our HR manager, stood in for Dennis. Don’t ask me to explain Bob’s logic - it’s been two years and I’m still not there.
But ultimately, this challenge is about finding a fun way to give our customers a great experience. By offering incentive for professional development we can ensure that you get the best inspection, the best installation, and consistent, helpful attention throughout the process.
So how can you help? Refer your family and friends, and write reviews! We always provide a review form for you to complete online or mail in, but you can also leave reviews on Google, Facebook, the BBB, and tons of other sites. Mention your crew members by name and help them rack up those points!
I’ll be updating you on the progress of the challenge throughout the summer (it ends August 31st), so be sure to cheer on your favorite SDS, foremen, and crews!
