Meet Troy Miller, Field Supervisor
If you’ve hired us to complete a project in your home, you may remember getting a call after the fact asking about your experience with the production crew. This call is known as our grading report; it keeps us aware of customer experience so we can pass along kudos and address concerns. We set the bar for our project managers at a 93% - a respectable A-.
Last week, Troy Miller was recognized for receiving a 100% in his grading report for 2016. It’s remarkable, but moreso given that PolyLevel projects take less time and so he met with more customers each week than our average project manager. The award is well-deserved, not only due to his exemplary grading report, but also his daily demeanor in both the office and the field.
Troy joined the Ayers team in 2015, and in late 2016 was promoted to Field Supervisor. “Troy is an all-star among superstars,” said production manager Ron Nussbaum. “He’s a remarkable person who always does the right thing at work and at home.”
“Home” for Troy consists of his wife, three sons, two grandkids, and two great danes. I’ll end this blog with a story about Troy’s love for his family, but first, let’s talk about his love for his job. When asked about a memorable moment on the job, he told the story of lifting and stabilizing a basement floor in a customer’s home so their sister’s family could move in. “I love that I get to help make a difference in people’s lives every day,” he said.
Now, it’s well known around the office how much Troy loves his family. As the one controlling the blog, I feel it’s my right and duty to share a story about Troy from this past summer that really shows that. Sorry, Troy. But not really.
We were traveling to the Basement Systems convention in Connecticut, and everyone had been given my phone number to text photos from around the convention. We’d gotten in very late at night, and as I was getting dressed in the morning, my phone buzzed. It was a ‘good morning’ text from Troy, meant for his wife of 16 years, full of heart emojis. Now, he was mortified when I told him he’d sent it to me, but the many, many people I showed it to (he’s very fun to embarrass) agreed that it was sweet and a great indicator of just how dedicated to his wife and family Troy is.
It’s not surprising that, given his dedication on the job and off, Troy received a perfect score from an entire year of customers. Great job, Troy - we’re glad you’re a part of the team.
