Secret Hand-Carved Cave Will Give You Basement Envy
We've posted a lot over the past week about finishing your basement to create space that is both beautiful and usable, but even we can only go so far. Unless you're an artist, or have one on hand, this week's strange basement finding probably won't happen.
The home of late artist Antony Dracup went on sale this week and, though it looks small from the street, is actually pretty sprawling. And features a hand-carved sandstone basement, complete with vaulted ceilings and ornate pillars, used for entertaining.
Dracup's son said that things like this tended to happen to any home where his father took up residence. For more photos, check out the article.
