The customer called because their crawl space had all of the usual problems - smelly, damp, making the floors above it cold - but they were concerned that it was too small to really be able to fix it.
While it's true that the access point and crawl space were only about two feet high, that's plenty of room for us! Just make sure to let us know in advance and we will send one of our smaller guys. It was no problem to install the CleanSpace vapor barrier system and we even put a new, better door on the crawl space.
While preparing to sell their house, our customers were told by a home inspector that they had to get a few cracks in the basement wall repaired before he could clear it. They hadn't gotten it looked at before because there was hardly any water coming in, but hardly any isn't "none," so they knew they had to take his advice.
We installed two FlexiSpan wall crack repair systems, which will seal the cracks and are flexible enough to move with the wall as water leads it to shift.
This basement didn't often have water collecting in it but it definitely felt moist and it smelled musty. Our team had the fix. We installed a perimeter water proofing system along the base of the walls to collect and measurable amount of water seeping in. We then installed a SuperSump system to create a mechanism for that water to removed from the home. We then put BrightWall paneling on the walls. This paneling not only brightens up a room at a low cost but it also acts as a vapor barrier and allows any moisture to flow freely behind the paneling into the drainage system without the homeowner ever really knowing that its happening. Finally, we put a SaniDry XP dehumidifier in the space to remove water vapors from the basement and keep the space smelling great. The runoff from the dehumidifier will flow right into the sump system and out of the home.
Two parts of Frank's sidewalk were uneven and causing people to trip so he called our team. We installed PolyLevel, a system designed to fix concrete slabs that have sunk by using a new product to lift the concrete slabs back to their original level. The new product used is a polyurethane foam that expands and has a high density in order to raise the concrete. The process is quite simple and is done by drilling small holes into the concrete and then inserting the foam into the holes. Also, the PolyLevel system is waterproof and long-lasting.
When water started seeping through the egress window in this Galesburg, MI home, the homeowners' two-year-old son lost his basement playroom to moisture and flooding. They wanted a solution that focused solely on the issue without unnecessary add-ons, so they turned to us for help.
We installed a window well duct drain to catch and direct water into the WaterGuard drainage system, which then carried it to the SuperSump Plus. The sump pump efficiently removed the water from the home, ensuring their basement stayed dry and protected.
Now, their basement is dry, their son has his playroom back, and their home is safeguarded against future water issues!
