Stevie needed help repairing her foundation basement wall because it was bowing and cracking. So our team installed PowerBrace, a foundation repair system that secures basement walls in place. This foundation repair system counteracts the outside pressures that cause your basement walls to crack or tilt by keeping your basement walls in place. Over time, the system can be tightened to not only secure the walls in place, but to also straighten them.
Lisa was anxious to get her walls fixed up after noticing her basement walls were beginning to crack so she gave Ayers a call. After our crew conducted a free inspection it was settled that she needed CarbonArmor. CarbonArmor is a wall reinforcing system that is made of carbon fiber straps that are secured to the wall, preventing it from shifting any further. This system can easily be concealed if she wants a more finished, sleek look as well. Lisa was glad she got professional help so her home's support wasn't at stake!
Jim's home had stone basement walls, and he worried that the voids between the stones would allow moisture entry. He needed the problem resolved quickly, so he called Ayers for assistance. Our crew of experts stopped by his home to examine the space and recommend a solution. The team suggested Shotcrete, a solution that applies a concrete or mortar wet spray through a high-pressure hose to fill a form or repair damaged surfaces. Jim is happy with the final product!
This bowing basement wall was in need of serious help. Stair-step cracks were found, which is a common sign of wall failure in block foundation walls. This often means that the problem is worsening because as the wall continues to bow, the corners have to rely on adjacent walls to hold it up, creating the stair-step cracks.
We installed the PowerBrace system to support the basement wall. This system involves steel beams that are secured to joists above the wall with steel brackets. The beams are coated in zinc to prevent corrosion and the braces use a joist reinforcement technique to transfer the weight of the wall evenly across the basement ceiling so the floor above is not disturbed.
