Brian O. contacted us because the floors above his crawl space severely sloped and needed to be leveled. He also was having a problem with the home being very humid which was happening becaues the crawl space was wet. 

To fix the wet crawl space we installed our CleanSpace system to encapsulate the area. CleanSpace makes sure no outside elements can get in and it's very sturdy so it can still be walked on and had stuff stored on it. To fix the sinking floors we installed our SmartJacks. SmartJacks are installed and then the weight of the home is transferred to them so it's not on the unlevel, sinking soil.

The crawl space under this cottage was very shallow and damp, along with extreme sloping that needed leveling. The homeowners contacted  Ayers, who arrived at their home with solutions. 

Our team of experts installed SmartJacks, adjustable steel piers that were designed to support weak points under your home. In addition to that, a CleanSpace vapor barrier was also installed to fix and waterproof the crawl space. CleanSpace is a specially designed liner that keeps out pests, humidity, and moisture-ensuring a complete crawl space encapsulation. 

The result is a beautiful, dry, mold free crawl space.

The horizontal crack on this basement wall was the result of a bowing foundation. When soil expands, it puts extra pressure on the wall, which in turn bends inward. The bowing had gotten so bad that the owners couldn’t even open one of the doors in the basement. Our crew solved the problem with the Geo-Lock Anchor System in the after photo. The Geo-Lock Anchor System is made up of the wall plates in the photo and the Geo-Anchors that were placed about 15 feet away from the wall in strong, dependable soil. Each wall plate is connected to the Geo-Anchors with steel rod tie backs. The anchors will pull the wall back and resist the bowing motion. 

Kevin and Jane C. called us because they noticed their basement foundation wall was bowing inward. The wall was bowed so much that they were unable to close one of the doors in the basement, so they knew this was a problem that needed to be fixed ASAP. The wall was showing signs of failure due to the large horizontal crack, which is very common in block foundation walls. The bowing of the wall likely occurred because of the high amount of pressure being exerted by the soil outside.

To fix the failing wall our team of experts installed the Geo-Lock anchor system that stabilizes the foundation wall and is able to be tightened to promote straightening over time. This system involves steel earth anchors that are imbedded underneath the soil and are then connected to steel plates on the foundation wall using steel rods.
