Ruth had a bowing wall that was leaning on her deck foundation. In addition to preventing her wall from bowing further, our team also installed Push Piers. Push Piers will stop any further settlement that this wall has already caused. In addition, overtime this system should bring the foundation back to its original level. We installed the push piers deep into the soil underneath the foundation for a quick installation and permanent solution.
Ever since the sidewalk outside of this Coloma, MI home was redone, cracks had started to show on the basement walls. The owners didn’t know what to make of the problem, but they wanted to make sure it wasn’t a threat to their foundation. When our system design specialist took a trip out to advise them, he saw the slight curve in the middle of the wall (seen in the before picture) and immediately recognized the problem as bowing walls. Walls start to bow when the pressure from expanding soil pushes the wall inward.
To stop the inward pressure before it causes the wall to completely collapse, the crew anchored the wall to outside soil with our GeoLock Wall Anchors. The anchors pull the wall back outward using steel rod tie backs, which then connect to wall plates on the interior side. The wall plates are behind the white hide-away-covers in the after photo. While not necessary for the repair, they’re a nice option for those who want to keep their walls protected and looking good at the same time.

Jim's basement walls were bowing and cracked on the inside and outside of the foundation. He called our team and asked about possible solutions. We installed PowerBrace, a foundation repair system created to secure basement walls in place and overtime it will straighten them. Often outside pressures can cause your basement walls to crack or tilt, this foundation repair system counteracts these pressures by keeping your basement walls in place. Over time, the system can be tightened to not only secure the walls in place, but to also straighten them.
Virginia and Tom discovered mold throughout the house and were concerned. They were surprised to find debris in the crawlspace and moved forward with Ayers to encapsulate it. Our team solved any future mold problems by sealing the crawlspace with our CleanSpace product and spray foam insulation, ensuring a mold-free environment so they can enjoy the house for years to come!
