Lori awoke the morning after a storm and found water leaking into her basement and pooling on the floor. She didn't want her belongings ruined but wasn't sure how to fix the problem, so she called Ayers for help. We sent a team of specialists to her home to evaluate and recommend a solution. They suggested installing TripleSafe, the sump pump system designed with three pumps to prevent failure. The primary and backup pumps are accompanied by a battery-powered pump in case of power outages! Lori is glad she called and got the job done correctly!
A customer from Lansing came to us with basement walls that were being damaged by mother nature. It was very easy for us to see that water was making its ways through the walls throughout the years. We were able to solve this issue with our CleanSpace technology. CleanSpace is a 20 mil thick plastic liner that fits to the crawl space to completely seal the home from the earth. Polyester cord reinforcement allows for a lot of durability, to make it last longer than the home will. This liner also contains an antimicrobial additive to prevent mold. Now that the basement is protected from the outside enviornment, this homeowner will never have to worry about a wet and molfy basement ever again.
This 1958 home was struggling with water leaking into the basement. While the cinder block walls had stood the test of time, they were starting to fail against water pressure. To stop the leaking water from puddling on the basement floor, the crew installed a perimeter drainage system. You can see part of the metal pipe resting at the foot of the wall in the after photo.
Perimeter Drainage systems, like WaterGuard, sit in the floor and wall joint to collect water that runs down the wall and then directs it to the sump pump. The sump will then pump the water out of the basement and to a LawnScape outlet for discharge. Also visible in the after photo are the inspection ports where the system can be checked for clogging or obstructions that would stop the system from operating at its full potential. With a waterproof system in place, this home will hopefully last another 50+ years.
Duncan was having water issues like hes never had before during heavy rain. The water was entering his basement where the floor met the wall and would cover the whole floor. He had vacuumed up most fo the water, but he couldn't keep doing that so he called us for a solution. We installed the WaterGuard System which is a French drain that is under the floor ot collect the water leaking in. The water is then drained to the sump pump to be discharged outside the home. We also installed the DoubleSafe Sump Pump System. This provides 2 levels of protection in case one level stops working or needs extra help in heavy rain.
Kim had owned her home for only a few months when the poured concrete foundation of her Lansing, MI home began letting in water whenever it rained. She called Ayers for an inspection and our crew determined that she would need WaterGuard to correct her waterproofing issues.
WaterGuard is a sub-floor waterproofing system that collects water that leaks through the walls and keeps dirt away from the foundation. It is installed along the perimeter of the basement and on top of the footing of the foundation. Concrete is poured on top and regular flooring can be placed on top.
Kim was thrilled with the work the Ayers crew did. She was so happy to get her new home in working order.
