This customer had water seeping into the corner of his basement where the floor and wall met. A small puddle of standing water was also constantly forming on the floor even though a sump pump was present in the home. This homeowner was looking for an effective solution to collect and discard leaking water and our team of experts knew exactly what to do.
To properly collect and discard intruding water into the sump pump, we installed the WaterGuard system, which is an effective perimeter drainage system. This system was installed underneath the flooring around the interior perimeter of the basement. Water entering the home is able to flow down into the drainage pipes, rather than onto the floor and is carried directly to the sump pump to be discarded from the home. A WaterGuard inspection port was also installed to make sure we have access to the system if ever needed in the future.
The original basement window was too small to meet safety standards, providing limited light and ventilation while leaving the space feeling dark and cramped. Additionally, it did not serve as a safe exit in case of emergencies. To enhance safety and functionality, Ayers installed a new, larger egress window that complies with safety requirements. This upgrade significantly increases natural light and ventilation, transforming the basement into a more inviting space. The new window well not only improves safety but also enhances the home’s exterior appearance.
Homeowners in Lansing, MI were experiencing frequent water puddles in the corner of their basement. The problem? No sump pump!
We installed SuperSump. With the option of a backup pump, this system can pump out up to 2,220 gallons of water per hour. As this basement has occasional puddles and damp areas, this pump system was a perfect fit as it will work to keep the basement dry and healthy for extended periods of time.
When it comes to waterproofing products, reliability is everything. As a homeowner, you want to know that your basement will stay dry no matter what. Unfortunately, just having any sump pump isn't going to do the job. You'll need a reliable sump pump. The SuperSump Upgraded this home to a more reliable pump. The SuperSump contains a pump stand (prevents clogging of any debris in the sump liner), pump alarm (for when the basement floods), and an airtight sump lid with a floor drain in it (helps water to go down but not air to come up). Now this homeowner can rely on her sump pump to get the job done right.
In order to keep her basement dry, Laurie needed to find a superior option for her sump pump. That's why we installed a TripleSafe sump pump, because there simply is not a better option than this. With the TripleSafe system installed, Laurie's basement will be safe from water in extreme conditions like power outages. Thanks to the battery-powered backup pump, the system will continue to operate even if the rest of her house is without power!
