Larry D. called because he had a floor that was sagging about 3/4”. The glass wall located in the bathroom above the floor was exerting too much pressure causing the floor to sag.
In order to support the sagging floor, we installed the effective SmartJack stabilizer system. This installation of this system starts by taking out a cube of soil in the ground and filling it with concrete or crushed stone. A structural footing is then placed in the fill to hold a galvanized steel column that is then connected to the girder above to stabilize the floor and potentially lift it back to its original position.
After a recent rain, this family noticed an area of the wall became damp. The family cut out a piece of drywall and noticed the cracks in their concrete wall. Inevitably, concrete walls will move and begin to crack. We used FlexiSpan to solve this problem. FlexiSpan is used to seals cracks in the wall, it is engineered with a backup strategy in case the first seal fails. FlexiSpan is made of a flexible material, as its name implies, so it will move with wall keeping your basement dry.
Vera was worried about the small crack in her basement wall because she didn't want this issue to progress into a bigger problem in the long run so she called Ayers. We conducted a free inspection so we could make our recommendation which was to install FlexiSpan. This is a two-layer sealant that will fill the crack with a polyurethane sealant and we then create a drainage route for the water intrusion. A drainage well is placed below the floor and under the white panel we place over the now sealed crack. This is where the water will be directed if any water permeates. Vera was grateful to have these troubling wall leaks finally resolved!
Scott noticed water from outside draining into his basement. He wasn't sure what to do and called Ayers for help. Our team inspected his house, and the drainage pipes were clogged with mud. They suggested WaterGuard, a drainage system for your basement designed to sit on top of the footing rather than alongside, reducing clogging. Scott was excited to have a dry basement once again!
A home in Washington, MI was experiencing water seepage in their basement due to a failing sump pump and improperly installed discharge lines. As a result, water was not being pumped far enough away from the home, leading to a wet basement. To address this issue, we installed our TripleSafe sump pump and IceGuard. This solution provides the homeowner with peace of mind, knowing that their home is now properly protected and the water is being effectively pumped out. The IceGuard Discharge Line System is a fitting placed over the top of the discharge line, serving as a secondary escape route for water, particularly in the winter when discharge lines may freeze. This ensures that all water can still escape as needed.
