Trevor has been experiencing water seepage through the corners of his unfinished basement for years. It was finally time to permanently resolve the leaks by calling Ayers. We recommended our WaterGuard and TripleSafe sump pump systems to keep water outside the home rather than on the floor. First, our subfloor drainage system, called WaterGuard, collects water leaking through the walls and reroutes it to the sump pump. The specially designed piping is installed along the perimeter of the basement below the walls and is covered by pouring fresh concrete over the top. Lastly, we added our three-pump system TripleSafe. Each pump lives in one durable liner and handles the water intrusion by directing the water outside the home. The third pump has a battery pack to ensure it runs during power outages. Trevor's worries about water damage in his basement are gone!
Connie's old sump pump recently failed, and she found water leaking onto her basement floor. She didn't want the problem to worsen, or her belongings ruined, so she researched her options and called Ayers for help. Our crew of specialists visited her home to assess the issue and recommended the installation of the TripleSafe sump pump. TripleSafe is designed to proactively prevent pump failure by including two backup pumps, one of which is battery-powered in case of outages. Connie feels much more comfortable with her new system!
Isiriel's home was built in 2012, but the poured concrete foundation was letting water into the basement where the wall meets the floor. He had noticed it when the snow started melting, but there was no water in the sump pump. He called Ayers for an inspection and our crew determined that WaterGuard would be the perfect solution for him. WaterGuard is a sub-floor waterproofing system that collects water that leaks through the walls and keeps dirt away from the foundation. It is installed along the perimeter of the basement and on top of the footing of the foundation. Concrete is poured on top and regular flooring can be placed on top. Isiriel was grateful we could save his basement before major damage could be done.
Johnathan was sick of his basement windows and wanted to learn about his options, so he called Ayers for help. Our team of experts went to his home and recommended an egress window. The egress window is designed for durability against heavy soil and water and includes stairsteps for evacuation. On the surface, egress windows employ a polycarbonate safety cover to prevent accidental falls. Johnathan feels much better about his beautiful new window!
Larry D. called because he had a floor that was sagging about 3/4”. The glass wall located in the bathroom above the floor was exerting too much pressure causing the floor to sag.
In order to support the sagging floor, we installed the effective SmartJack stabilizer system. This installation of this system starts by taking out a cube of soil in the ground and filling it with concrete or crushed stone. A structural footing is then placed in the fill to hold a galvanized steel column that is then connected to the girder above to stabilize the floor and potentially lift it back to its original position.
