Kathleen was frantically trying to find waterproofing solutions for her basement. Water was seeping through the walls down there. The fans were a temporary fix, so she called Ayers for a permanent one. One of our system design specialists inspected the area and determined our WaterGuard and TripleSafe sump pump systems would eradicate the leaks. First, WaterGuard is an interior drainage system that fits in the subfloor of the basement below the walls. The drain collects the water and directs it to the sump pump instead of pooling on the floor. We pour concrete over the drain to conceal it. TripleSafe is a three-pump system that fits in one durable liner and keeps the water out of the home. With these waterproofing systems in action, Kathleen is feeling protected and relieved!
Gregory's completely finished basement is collecting water that is coming in from the floor where it meets the walls. The water is puddling and flowing through the hallway to some other rooms. This has not happened before and he doesn't want the finishings or furniture to get ruined so he needed a fix. We started with the TripleSafe Sump Pump to provide peace of mind to the owner that the home was safe. The sump pump has three levels of protection in case of a pump malfunction or a power outage. We also installed the WaterGuard French drain system to collect the water and send it to the sump pump to be discharged outside of the home. It is installed below the floor so you don't have an unsightly drain in the finished basement and can enjoy the space!
Tina and Lee tried to fix some drainage issues under their house, but it didn't last. They contacted us at Ayers Basement Systems, and an inspection was conducted. Our team concluded that new discharge lines and pump would solve their issues. The couple opted for the installation, and our crew got to work swiftly and effectively installing the units. After working with Ayers, Tina and Lee's home was moisture-free!
Tom of Williamsburg, MI was so eager to have a crack in his basement wall patched up that he removed the drywall for the crew before they arrived. To repair the actual crack, the crew used our FlexiSpan system. The FlexiSpan system works by using two different layers of a flexible sealant. After the first layer is placed into the crack to plug the leak, a second layer is then applied to span the wall and create a pathway for any excess water to drain. But first, the crew installed a drainage system at the foot of the wall, so that any leaking water would have somewhere to go. The waterproof seal will provide the wall with much-needed protection, and after snapping a BrightWall panel into place, the room is just a paint job away from its former beauty.
Jordan had a basement crack that had some water seepage as well as some water seepage from the area immediately below his sump pump discharge. With the water seepage confined to these 2 small areas, we were able to use FlexiSpan to solve the problem. The slab foundation was excavated immediately below the cracks and a dry well a few gallons deep was dug out. This is a space where the water will flow and work its way back into the the ground. The well is filled with stone and the concrete is replaced. A gap along the base of the wall remains open to allow the water seepage to flow into the well. Finally the cracks are covered with a foam layer followed by a layer of our mold and mildew resistant CleanSpace material. The foam creates a space for water to move freely down the wall and the CleanSpace material creates a vapor barrier and allow the water to flow without being seen or noticed, plus it looks great on the walls. Jordan's problem is solved.
