The problems with this sump pump system began back in the spring when it was installed as a replacement. The owner was hoping that a new system would be the end of his crawl space troubles, but the sump continued to run after it had pumped all the water out. When the owner had someone come out to repair the pump, it resulted in the before photo.  Not only did the pump and liner come out of the original hole, the discharge line was also broken and sprayed water all over the pea stone ground.
