To address the humidity and odor problem, Ayers encapsulated the crawlspaces by installing a vapor barrier system on the walls and floors. The joists were insulated to protect against moisture, and drainage matting was placed to help manage water under the vapor barrier. A dehumidifier system (Sanidry) was connected to the existing sump pump to control the humidity. This approach effectively reduced the moisture and improved air quality in Larry’s basement, solving the issues he was previously facing
