A homeowner in Plainwell, MI, faced bowing foundation walls that threatened her home’s structural integrity, especially with an upcoming city sewer project. A customer had a wall bowing in his basement so he called our team. In order to secure his wall we installed PowerBrace, a foundation repair system. It was created to secure basement walls in place and overtime it will straighten them. Often outside pressures can cause your basement walls to crack or tilt, this foundation repair system counteracts these pressures by keeping your basement walls in place. Over time, the system can be tightened to not only secure the walls in place, but to also straighten them.

Sindy called us saying that a corner of her house was falling down. She noticed cracks around the house and counters coming away from the wall. The wooden supports in her crawl space were old and not providing the strength and support that the home above needed. In their place, we were able to install a series of SmartJacks. These jacks are made from a zinc-coated steel making them incredibly strong and resistant to corrosion. They are also adjustable and provide the best opportunity to lift the home back into its original position. Sindy can now worry less about new cracks and start enjoying her home more.

Tomas had issues with the wooden support structures in his crawl space, so he called Ayers. This solution utilizes a strong, steel foundation base installed in the subfloor for the home to sit on. The steel columns are attached to this base and can be extended in the future. We installed a steel supplemental support beam above the columns for additional help. Tomas was happy with the new support system that keeps his home stable and safe!
