The block foundation wall in the basement was cracked and unstable, which was causing the floor joists to weaken and sag. We installed the PowerBrace system to stabilize the wall and support the joists. Steel I-beams that stretched the length of the wall were installed in the floor at the base of the wall and then attached to the joists above the wall. Once the system was secured into place with steel brackets, the beams acted as braces to hold the wall in place while potentially shifting it back to its proper position over time.
