Joel owns a rental property that had some bowing walls in the basement. He was concerned about safety and wanted them fixed so he called us for a solution. We installed GeoLock Channel Anchors to halt any inward movement of the wall. The GeoLock Channel Anchor system starts by drilling holes in the yard for the earth anchors and then drilling holes in foundation for the channel anchor. The earth anchors are galvanized steel that are joined to steel rods which are then connected to the channel anchors inside your foundation wall. The anchors inside your home are mounted to the floor and then tightened into place. This system will permanently stabilize your wall and could return it to its original condition. After the install, we restore the landscaping and basement to the state we found them in.
Amy had a slanted kitchen floor, so she had stacked bricks underneath it and exhausted her options in the "DIY" department. Her previous attempts to fix the issue didn't work, so she researched her options and called Ayers for help. Our specialists visited her home and recommended installing the SmartJacks supplemental support system. SmartJacks are a collection of floor jacks, zinc plated and hot-dipped in galvanized steel to provide durability. Each base is implanted two feet deep to reduce load-bearing stress and ensure longevity. Amy can put those bricks to good use elsewhere!
Foundation wall cracks are nothing to take lightly. That's why this family in Culver, IN called us. Their foundation walls were showing "staircase" cracks, indicating bowing or buckling walls. We determined that our patented PowerBrace system was perfect to fix this. PowerBrace is made of steel I-beams that are connected to the joists above the foundation wall to offer maximum support. After the installment of PowerBrace, this family can now feel safe in their basement and, more importantly, their home.
In order to stabilize these walls, we installed Power Braces. These beams are installed against the wall and uses a joint reinforcement method to distribute the weight evenly. Tightened over time, these beams gradually improve the condition of the wall over time, and their zinc coating makes them resistant to corrosion.
To collect the water from the walls, DryTrak was installed. This system is best for monolithic slabs that include a foundation wall footing, and is designed to work with the sump pump. The drainage channel is sealed with a special adhesive to the floor, and a small space is left along the wall to allow wall leaks to drain directly into the channel. The water is collected and then rerouted to the sump pump, which will pump the water out of the basement and away from the home through a discharge line.
PowerBraces help improve the foundation walls over time to prevent future wall leaks, while DryTrak keeps the leaks under control in the basement of this Culver, MI home.
We responded to an inquiry from Guy, a homeowner looking for better foundation support. He realized the floors were sagging and the wooden support structures were failing. Guy called Ayers for our foundation repair solutions. Our crew inspected his basement's current support situation and determined SmartJacks would provide the appropriate support required. SmartJacks will not rot or warp like the wooden support beams Guy previously had. The system was installed by attaching steel support beams to the floor joists. They rest on a sturdy base in the subfloor. Once the support columns were installed, the crew adjusted them to raise the floors to a level position. Guy is satisfied with the results now that he has a permanent solution to support his home's foundation!
