Which came first: The wall crack or the leak?
It's hard to tell, since water can come in through cracked basement walls but water can also CAUSE wall cracks by weakening the structure, but either way, we can fix it.
These homeowners had a long horizontal wall crack on one of their basement walls (marked in both pictures by the gray tape), along with a leak. After we installed new discharge line and a set of LawnScape outlets to take care of the leak, we used six 8 foot PowerBraces to reinforce the failing wall.
Bob was experiencing a major foundation issue with the corner of his front porch. The corner of the porch was slowly sinking for quite sometime, but recently had accelerated sinking. Our professional foundation team stepped in and installed a few piers around the porch in order to help support and lift the corner back into position. The Helical Piers are the piers that we used in this project. To install the piers, we excavated a small hole around the outside of the porch to expose the home's footer. We then drill long steel piering shafts into the ground until they reach competent soil that can reliably support the weight of the home. This allows for the corner to be put back in its original position. The fix is permanent and incredibly reliable!
Albert's old home in Olivet had a collapsing foundation wall in need of a support system to protect the safety of his home. He trusted Ayers for the job, so he gave us a call. Our team concluded that SmartJacks were required to prevent the wall collapse. First, our team had to remove part of the stones that made up this wall to create room for the steel jacks. The tube steel used for SmartJacks consists of a strong triple-layer, in-line galvanizing coating. This foundation repair solution can support loads over 60,000 pounds, and the steel columns rest on a sturdy base within the ground. Albert feels confident with the new foundation support he desperately needs!
Cara and Lee built an inclosed sunroom a few years ago to replace their back porch. Recently, the windows and doors have been sticking, the floors have been sagging, and cracks have appeared in the walls. The different issues they were encountering are usually caused by settlement issues, so Cara and Lee called our team for help. We installed helical piers to stop the settlement and overtime bring the foundation back to its original level. The helical piers were installed deep into the soil underneath the foundation for a quick installation and permanent solution.
The cracks on the foundation walls of this Bremen, IN home were the first signs of a compromised wall structure. By the time we showed up, the walls were bowing due to soil pressure.
We immediately installed these GeoLock wall anchors to help prevent further bowing. These anchors are installed with one plate on the inside of the wall connected via a cable to another plate that is anchored in stable soil around the home. Wall anchors not only provide immediately stability to the walls, we can tighten the cable over time to straighten the walls.
Those white squares you see are covers we install over the steel anchors so they're not an eyesore.
