Kyle noticed sitting water and mold growing in his crawl space. He hadn't thought about this area of his home but was disgusted at the sight and knew he needed it fixed. After calling Ayers to hear about our waterproofing solutions, we sent our experts to evaluate and suggest a solution. They installed CleanSpace, a vapor barrier constructed of antimicrobial material, and applied it to the walls and floors to reduce moisture and eliminate mold growth. Kyle loves his dry crawl space!
Brian and Kayla bought a forever home up north in Traverse City Michigan. They have a basement that is half concrete and half exposed dirt- the basement kind of converts into a crawl space halfway through. Kayla has allergies and had been having a problem with the dust in the home. They wanted to seal off the dirt area to create a clean space. We used CleanSpace Crawl Space Vapor Barrier to seal off the crawl space half of the basement. This will keep out humidity, pests like bugs or rodents, and water vapor. It also has an antimicrobial additive to prevent the growth of mold in the basement. On top of the liner keeping the space clean and dry, we installed the SaniDry XP basement dehumidifier that won't take up a bunch of space. It blows dry air continuously through the area to keep it dry while also filtering the air to help the family breathe easy!
Gloria had Ayers Basement Systems encapsulate her crawl space with our CleanSpace Liner. We finished it off with a new Everlast entry door. This door locks smoothly into place and fits snug to make sure no moisture or outside air are getting into her crawl space. The Everlast door helps keep Gloria’s crawl space dry and free of mold and bacteria.
A homeowner wanted his basement completely sealed off so he called our team. We insulated his rim joists in order to cut off the flow of air and moisture to the rest of his home. Seams and small cracks are common around your rim joists so it is important to seal them off when encapsulating your crawl sapce.
The musty smell in this crawl space alerted the owner to its poor conditions. The main causes of musty smells like these are humidity and moisture leaking in. To stop these smells, most will install a vapor barrier system that prevents water from entering. In the after photo, you can see the solution our company provided - the CleanSpace system. The liner was pulled tight to both the floor and walls preventing any possible entry. The CleanSpace vapor barrier is impenetrable by moisture or humidity, meaning that neither of the main causes of that musty smell will be present in the newly protected crawl space.
