One of our customers needed help with making sure that their crawlspace was safe and up to code. We gave this customer our best. After we inspected the house we decided to install our super effective vapor barrier for crawl spaces called CleanSpace. CleanSpace is a 20 mil thick plastic liner that fits to the crawl space to completely seal the home from the earth. Polyester cord reinforcement allows for a lot of durability, to make it last longer than the home will. This liner also contains an antimicrobial additive to prevent mold. CleanSpace is the best at keeping any crawlspace safe and clean. This customer will never have to worry about a wet crawl space ever again.
Michigan winters are troubling times for both us, and for our houses. Inadequate crawlspace systems can have issues in the winter that can lose homeowners both money, and piece of mind. For most crawlspaces, we recommend installing a vapor barrier called CleanSpace; as well as a wall insulation material called SilverGlo. CleanSpace is able to provide a barrier from the cold temperatures coming from the ground while also helping to eliminate any of those creepy crawlie animals that can often live right below us. SilverGlo goes on the crawlspace walls to help futher insulate and seperate the house from the ground. This can save large amounts of money over time as well as help to warm up the floors above it.
Bruce gave Ayers a call after discovering water was coming into his crawl space during heavy rains. Our Ayers System Design Specialist inspected this issue and determined CleanSpace, along with our TripleSafe Sump Pump and our SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier would be a great solution for Bruce.
CleanSpace will line his crawl space and has a vapor barrier that protects against excess moisture that leads to harmful mold or bacteria growth. The liner consists of a thick, durable, plastic that will last for decades. TripleSafe consists of three sump pumps in one liner. The first pump does the main job in removing water, the second is there for backup, and the last pump is battery-operated, meaning it will turn on in power outages. Lastly, the SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier will remove water from the air and circulate the now dry air around his crawl space.
Bruce is now assured the protection of his crawl space from these pesky water leaks!
This home built in the 1970’s has a dirt crawlspace that often had standing water in it. The owners had previously installed a liner to help seal off the space, but it wasn’t doing the trick. The old liner was no match for CleansSpace, the multi-layered plastic liner that allows for water drainage to the sump pump. Additionally, installing a dimpled matting underneath the liner helps create an air space for the water to flow to the sump pump on top of the floor. Encapsulating the crawl space with CleanSpace means that this space will be dry and usable.
The dirt floor crawl space in the before photo was built back in the ‘70s. The owners had noticed moisture and standing water in the crawl space. Not to mention, the home was also smelling a lot like dirt. Since they had recently redone the rest of the rental home, the owners wanted to improve on the previous tarp as the last step of the remodel. In the before photo, you can see how the old liner only covered the dirt floor and was taped up to the walls to keep water out. The new liner in the after photo is our CleanSpace system. CleanSpace is a moisture-impenetrable barrier that can keep out any water that comes through either the floor or walls. The white liner was the perfect way to end this home’s remodel.
