Crawl Space Repair Before & After Photos

Jeff and Pam wanted to get their crawl space fixed up and protected from unwanted water, mold, or other nuisances. The couple went ahead and called Ayers to go through possible solutions. We sent out a crew to take a look at their crawl space and it was decided they could use our Drainage Matting, CleanSpace, and our SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier.

The first product we installed was our Drainage Matting which is a raised dimpled mat that is placed directly on your crawl space floor. The benefit being it will catch any water and direct it to your sump system. Next we installed CleanSpace which is a thick, durable plastic liner with a vapor barrier that goes over the Drainage Matting and ensures protection against excess water and moisture. Therefore, it will even protect against the development of nasty mold or bacteria! Last of all we installed our SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier. This will eliminate damp, musty odors by filtering and drying the air in your crawl space. It also filters icky mold spores and dust mite droppings.

A musty smell was lingering in Wendy’s house that was coming from her crawl space. The smell from the crawl space was making her son’s allergies act up. So Wendy called our team and we insulated her rim joists. Small cracks and seams can exist around rim joists, but after insulating them all of those cracks are sealed off. We received a call from a customer in Traverse City referring to their crawlspace. They needed help insulating their crawlspace from the outside environment. We gave them a free estimate to help them out. After analysis, we suggested CleanSpace for their home. CleanSpace is a 20 mil thick plastic liner that fits to the crawl space to completely seal the home from the earth. Polyester cord reinforcement allows for a lot of durability, to make it last longer than the home will. This liner also contains an antimicrobial additive to prevent mold. This Traverse City, MI crawl space was wet and musty before Ayers visited. Luckily, the installation of a CleanSpace liner helped alleviate both of those problems. After sealing the crawl space vent to prevent moisture from entering the crawl space, SilverGlo insulation was installed on the walls and TerraBlock insulation on the floors, to reflect heat back into the space.
